Telford Homes has been granted planning permission to convert a listed Victorian building in east London into a working man’s club and 39 flats.

The £5m Grove House scheme by RMA Architects is in Leyton, in the London borough of Waltham Forest. Forty per cent of the scheme will be affordable housing, to be sold to a housing association. The buildings will surround the existing house, creating a courtyard at its rear. The project starts on site in mid-2009.
