Arcadis chief executive says brand will be retained ‘initially’ but is likely to be dropped over time

The EC Harris name could be phased out within the next two to three years following its merger with Arcadis, according to the Dutch company’s chief executive Harrie Noy.

Speaking to Building, Noy said the EC Harris brand would continue “initially”, saying that, particularly in the UK, “it would not be a wise business decision to move swiftly to the Arcadis brand.”

However, Noy said: “I think over time there will be a migration process to a single brand as it helps with synergies. But I wouldn’t expect anything in the next 12-18 months. I think two to three years at least.”

He added that the timing of such a move would be “very much determined by the view of the market and those within EC Harris.”
