The government’s schools capital agency has said it will hold a bidders’ day for the North-east batch of private finance schools later this month.

The Education Funding Agency said the bidders days for the North-east private finance batch would be on Wednesday 17 July.

It is the second batch of private finance schools to come to market through the Priority School Building Programme (PSBP).

The batch comprises 12 schools and is worth around £94m.

The main part of the bidders’ day will take place at one of the schools in the batch - Hetton School - on the afternoon of 17 July, and there will be optional tours of another school - Mandale Mill Primary School - on the morning of 18 July.
