An employment tribunal on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link project has been asked to consider allegations of blacklisting in the electrical sector.

The tribunal was brought after a worker alleged that M&E contractor Emcor was operating blacklists on the project. It was due to be held on Monday but has been switched to a six-day trial in June. The expanded hearing will take into account allegations on the internet of widespread blacklisting among leading M&E firms.

A senior source at union Amicus said: "There has been huge controversy over the allegations."
