Ennstone Thistle buys concrete firm "Connons" and extends market coverage in North East Scotland.
Ennstone Thistle has brought readymix concrete and contracting business J H Connon for £1.1m.
Ennstone said that J H Connon would complement and expand Ennstone's activities in the North East Scottish region. The firm, which is also known as Connons, has an annual turnover of £5m and is based in Aberdeen.
The acquisition will include the transfer of 54 Connons employees to Ennstone Thistle including Mike Macaulay, who will join Ennstone Thistle as business development manager, and Kenny Findlay who will join as area contracting manager.
Vaughan McLeod, Chairman, said: “This is another good bolt-on acquisition which will strengthen our ready-mix concrete and contracting business in Scotland through its strong brand and customer base."
Ennstone Thistle is part of aggregates and ready mixed concrete firm Ennstone.
