More than 20 construction industry leaders took part in a forum organised by Ernst & Young late last year to tackle the problem of risk management.
The forum, chaired by former transport minister and Jarvis director Steven Norris, also included Costain chief executive Stuart Doughty, Mace chief executive Bob White, Balfour Beatty's UK construction MD Paul Lester, O'Rourke MD David Anderson, Simons MD Cliff Bryant and John Doyle chairman Stef Stefanou.

As a result of the discussion, Ernst & Young has produced a report, published today in association with Building.

The report also considers the findings of a survey of the top 75 construction companies. These include the disclosure that 21% of respondents did not have a designated board director with responsibility for risk.

The report accompanies this week's Building. For additional copies, email stuart.ives@uk.ey.com.
