These are the victors of the 2004 Building Awards, held on Tuesday at Le Meridien Grosvenor House Hotel, London. Balfour Beatty boss Mike Welton was the inaugural winner of the chief executive of the year award, outgoing CABE boss Jon Rouse picked up the personality of the year prize and CITB chairman Sir Michael Latham was given a lifetime achievement award. Some 1700 people from across the industry attended the event, which was hosted by Angus Deayton.
