Firm records second successive annual profit after several years of losses
Roofing and facade firm Lindner Prater edged profit up last year on the back of income rising nearly a third, its latest accounts reveal.
The firm said pre-tax profit was up 6% to £3.5m last year from £3.3m last time, which was the first time it had been in the black since 2020 when it made a pre-tax profit of £6m.
The company, whose recent jobs have included the new Everton stadium for Laing O’Rourke, and Multiplex’s 76 Southbank scheme saw turnover rise 28% to £57m in the year to December 2025.

It said: “Looking ahead, the company’s order book for 2026 and beyond shows good prospects across various sectors including, commercial, aviation and infrastructure projects. This positions the company well to capitalise on future opportunities in the construction market, maintaining a geographical spread across the UK.”
The firm said that its cash balance at the year-end was up from £7.8m to £11.9m. But the number of employees at the year-end was down 18% to 205.
Prater was merged into Lindner Prater, which has been owned by German firm Lindner since it bought Prater in 2011, five years ago.
Under the deal, Prater does not take on any new contracts with new work being carried out by Lindner Prater but it is finishing off those jobs it took on before the deal was struck in April 2021.
Prater’s turnover for the year was down to £2m from £10.7m last time.
At the end of last year, Lindner Prater moved into a new head office at Reigate in Surrey from nearby Salfords.
