Architect Chapman Taylor’s redevelopment work on the Manchester Arndale Centre was revealed yesterday.
The public will now be able to access the centre from Exchange Square, through a glass entrance that opens up a third side of the square. The first phase of the £150m scheme includes Exchange Court, a public space with an almond-shaped roof suspended at 25 m. This is the first of three phases of development, which will be finished by autumn 2006. Contractor on the project is Bovis Lend Lease.
