Plot covers final 16 acres of 42 acre site
The first images of Studio Egret West’s plan for the final phases of work at the Battersea Power Station development have been unveiled.
The images were released ahead of a two public consultation events held over the weekend.
The work covers the remaining 16 acres of the 42 acre site and has the potential to deliver up to 3.2 million sq ft of residential, commercial, cultural and leisure space.
The final phases of Battersea Power Station will connect to the new Nine Elms Park, a 14 acre green space running from Vauxhall, through Nine Elms and finishing at the riverfront Power Station Park.
David West, founding director of Studio Egret West, said: “Our work on the remaining c.50% of the neighbourhood will build upon the site’s remarkable legacy and seek to extend its cultural, commercial and community significance at both local and London levels.”
The power station was bought by its current Malaysian shareholders in 2012 and has seen over 2,200 homes and 800,000sq ft of office space built along with 150 retail, dining and leisure experiences.
