£500m turnover housing association announces winners of planned mainteance work
Guinness Partnership has announced it has appointed five contractors to deliver its 15-year, £1bn planned maintenance and investment programme.

The £500m-turnover housing association has signed deals with Axis Europe, Wilmott Dixon-owned Fortem Solutions, Morgan Sindall Property Services, Novus Property Solutions and United Infrastructure subsidiary Social Infrastructure.
The contract with Social Infrastructure is worth £364m, and covers 20,000 homes across the north west. The programme will include a wide range of planned and major works such as internal upgrades to kitchens and bathrooms, repairs to roofing, windows and doors, and mechanical and electrical works. It also covers fire safety improvements and energy-efficient retrofits.
Guinness believes working with the same contractors over a longer time period will help improve efficiency compared to “previous shorter-term agreements.”
It said the firms will invest in social value initiatives, including employment and community projects, as part of the contracts.
Catriona Simons, group chief executive at Guinness said: “We are delighted to welcome our new partners and to have formally signed our Planned Investment and Major Works contracts. These partnerships demonstrate our shared commitment to investing in and improving residents’ homes. Today marked the beginning of relationships we expect to grow and strengthen in the years ahead, as we work together to deliver lasting benefits for our residents.
“Residents are central to this partnership. When selecting our partners, we placed residents’ priorities at the front of the process. Their feedback - ranging from the importance of clear communication to consistently high‑quality works - directly shaped our decisions and will continue to guide how these partnerships operate day to day.”
