Anglo-French team eyes £1.5m work

A new Anglo-French construction consortium has been put together to bid for £1.5m of work on the M25.

The group, made up of Laing Roads, Costain, Carillion, Mouchel Parkman, Jacobs-Babtie, Vinci and ASF (Autoroutes du Sud de la France), will bid for a 30-year design, build, operate and finance programme being tendered by the Highways Agency.

The consortium will make its prequalification submission in January. The contract is set to be awarded next year and work will begin in 2008.
