Tom Smith spent decade at firm which sank nearly two years ago

ISG’s former chief commercial officer has joined Keltbray as its group commercial director.

Tom Smith spent nearly a decade at the firm before it collapsed into administration in September 2024.

He remained at the business for a further two months before leaving in November that year. He has been at Keltbray since the start of the year working for the firm’s data centres business.

Tom Smith is now group commercial director at Keltbray

His move comes after Peter Burnside was appointed chief executive last month, replacing Karl Goose who left after just five months in the role while Lee Cain, who arrived from Getjar nearly four years ago, has been appointed chief operating officer.

Keltbray said the appointments “strengthen our executive team as we continue to build for the future” and Burnside added: “By bringing together the right leadership, with deep expertise and a clear strategic direction, we will continue to evolve, innovate and shape the future of our business.”

Last month, Keltbray said its 2025 turnover fell 12% to £320m and would only start to meaningfully grow again from next year when income would be around £400m.
