Lee Marks starts work at contractor next week
Former Permasteelisa chief operating officer Lee Marks is set to join Skanska as executive vice president in charge of its building business.
Marks will join next week to begin a phased introduction to Skanska’s global and UK operations prior to taking up his new post this summer.
Marks left Permasteelisa last September after joining the cladding contractor at the start of 2023. He had arrived there from building and civils firm NMCN which collapsed into administration in autumn 2021.

Marks will take over from Terry Muckian as executive vice president for Skanska’s building business, with Muckian taking charge of Skanska’s infrastructure operations as well as Cementation Skanska, which is led by managing director Andy Entwistle.
Under the changes, Adam McDonald will remain executive vice president and chief commercial officer.
Skanska UK president and chief executive Katy Dowding said: “These changes are part of a carefully managed transition of responsibilities that we set in motion in October last year. It will ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities and stability for our customers.”
She added: “Lee is passionate and fully committed to collaborative ways of working, so we can work together to deliver the very best outcomes for customers. We’ll benefit from the new perspectives that Lee will bring to the business and I’m very much looking forward to working with him as a member of our executive management team.”
Marks, who has also worked at NG Bailey and Laing O’Rourke, said: “Skanska has a strong reputation and is well known across the industry for its values driven approach to business. This was a key motivator for me in wishing to join Skanska, alongside the breadth of its expanding portfolio – such as the recent appointment to the New Hospitals Framework.”
