Pair’s new company to specialise in London commercial fit out and refurb markets

Two former Turner & Townsend directors have set up a new cost consulting business in London.

Colin Wood and Damien Clifford spent more than a decade working together at T&T before Wood left six years ago.

Wood was in charge of T&T’s occupier team before he left to join Colliers as a director, leaving that firm at the end of 2022 to become a board director in charge of cost consulting at Artelia.

Clifford started out at Gardiner & Theobald before joining T&T, then CBRE before heading back to T&T, which is majority owned by CBRE.

Their new company is called EthosEQ and its current jobs include working on the London real estate portfolio for footwear and clothing brand Dr Martens while it is also working on a refurbishment of 1990s office block near St Paul’s for Fidelity Investments.

Wood said the firm’s target markets were commercial fit out and refurbishment, mainly in London.

He added that the business is hoping to be five-strong by the end of this year with numbers expected to double in 2026.
