Four men due to appear in court after climbing a crane in Belfast city centre at the weekend

Four men who climbed a crane in Belfast city centre on Sunday are due to appear in court.

The men, aged between 17 and 23, have been charged with obstructing police and criminal damage.

A number of roads were closed for several hours while the fire service mounted a rescue operation for the men.

One of the men went on to the arm of the crane, which is hundreds of metres high.

The crane is being used to construct a hotel off Bedford Street.
