London Development agency pledges £250,000 for stall holders affected by recent fire

The Mayor of London has announced £250,000 has be allocated for stall holders affected by the fire at Camden Market.

The funding is from the London Development Agency and is on top of £500,000 given by the landowner Camden Market Holdings.

Camden council will allocate all the money and is currently looking for temporary market space for the stall holders.

Ken Livingstone said: “I would like to thank everyone involved in working so hard to identify those businesses that cannot trade following the disastrous fire and that they continue to work closely together towards the successful recovery of the whole market which is such an important part of the capital's cultural heritage.”
