Soho Square Estate project slated to complete in summer 2030

Great Portland Estates has said that it has committed to an office and retail scheme in London’s West End with John F Hunt expected to begin demolition work soon.

The Soho Square Estate development has been designed by AHMM and will feature 75,000sq ft of office space and 15,000sq ft of retail which GPE said will front Oxford Street. The firm bought the site three years ago from Belgravia & Chelsea Property Services for £70m.

The developer said the project will “deliver a best-in-class HQ building into a West End market increasingly starved of high-quality supply”.

The scheme is scheduled to complete in 2030

Work is due to complete in summer 2030 with others working on the job including cost consultant Gardiner & Theobald.

GPE, which said that last month it completed its scheme at 30 Duke Street built by Mace, is due to announce its interim results on 19 November.
