A government-sponsored partnership has been launched to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from office buildings.
The partnership, the Integration of New and Renewable Energies in Buildings, will undertake research intended to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and develop renewable energy products.

The partnership includes BRE and departments from De Montfort, Loughborough, Nottingham and Ulster universities.

It is one of nine groups, known as Faraday Partnerships, undertaking environmental studies for the government.
