Knights Brown income jumps 17%

Hampshire civils contractor Knights Brown said coastal and energy work helped improve turnover and profit last year.

The firm, which also works in buildings, said it expected water work to become “an increasingly significant contributor” in the coming years.

Turnover was up 17% to £136m with pre-tax profit was up 44% to £5.6m in the year to March 2026. It said year-end cash was down £500,000 to £12.6m.

Knights Brown mainly works in the civils sector

The firm works mainly across southern England and Wales as well as energy jobs across the UK.

Knights Brown was set up in 1953, moving into civils the following decade. It helped work on the sailing venue at Portland in Dorset that was used for the 2012 Olympics.
