Firm due to wrap up sale of construction business in coming weeks
Land and housing developer Henry Boot has carried out a rejig of its business which has seen the boss of its housing business leave immediately, the firm said this morning.
Boot said Stonebridge Homes managing director Steve Errington had stepped down “and will be leaving the business immediately”. It said that Ed Hutchinson, currently managing director of Henry Boot Developments, will serve as interim boss while it looks for a successor.
Meanwhile, Steven Stacey, previously group finance director, has been appointed to the newly created role of chief operating officer at Henry Boot “where his focus will be on helping drive efficiency, collaboration and alignment across the group”.

Hamer Boot, who is currently director of investment and funding at the developments business, will take on day-to-day responsibility for leading developments’ strategic board.
In September, Henry Boot said it was selling its £50m turnover construction business to its management for £4m, ending a near 140 year link to its contracting roots. The deal is expected to wrap up by the end of the year.
