Fit out contractor sees revenue near £450m mark
A string of high-profile wins helped send revenue at fit out specialist Structure Tone up to close to £450m last year.
The firm is widely acknowledged as the second biggest fit out contractor in the capital behind market leader Overbury with this status bolstered by jobs such as the Google headquarters in King’s Cross, which it took over from collapsed firm ISG, as well as a £150m deal for the next phase of work to revamp the Canary Wharf global headquarters of Barclays Bank and a £100m deal to carry out work at the new London office of law firm Hogan Lovells at Holborn Viaduct.
Structure Tone, which is owned by US contractor STO Building Group, said income rose to a record £449m from £157m with pre-tax profit jumping from £1.7m to £12.6m.
The firm said its order book was a record £1.3bn with its core sectors including legal, technology, media and financial.
Structure Tone is jointly led by Matt Blowers who said: “These [results] will position us strongly as we deliver on our order book and look to continue to expand the value we can bring across existing and new sectors and geographies.”
The firm, whose main UK office is at Cannon Street in the City of London, employs 360 people.
