Andrew Mcmullan joins as vice president

A former project leader at Heatherwick Studio has joined the London office of US architect HOK as a vice president.

Andrew Mcmullan (pictured) has been hired to lead HOK’s major projects team and “enhance the design culture across the practice”.

HOK has been involved with putting together options for work to renovate the Palace of Westminster and has also designed a 67-storey residential tower in London’s Docklands called Spire and which has a pricetag of £800m.

Mcmullan, who worked on the London 2012 Olympics masterplan when working at Allies and Morrison, will be working alongside HOK’s design leader at its London studio, Larry Malcic.
