Next month Home Factory is launching affordable off-site-manufactured apartments for the housing association sector.

Designed by architect AMA and manufactured by Terrapin, the apartments are of steel-framed volumetric construction available in one, two and three bedroom versions. Designs conform to Housing Corporation scheme development standards and have corporation housing type approval.

Home Factory’s service ranges from site-finding through design and building to maintenance of completed homes. The company will launch the project with a show apartment to be sited outside London’s Building Centre from 17-21 October. It will be open to invited industry visitors and the general public.

The company is aiming to deliver 1000 apartments over the next five years. Warren Johnson, a director of Home Factory, said: “We’re in advanced talks with several housing associations and expect to announce our first scheme by the end of the year.”
