Ices laced with cocktails and the tales of an Olympic fencer were the highlights of Building's latest social for new professionals

The Phase One social event returned to London last night with 140 new industry professionals enjoying food and drinks at the Sosho bar in Shoreditch.

Star attractions were Olympic fencer James Beevers and a special ice cream booth giving away cornets laced with cocktails. The Gin and Grapefruit and Kir Royale flavours were among the most popular.

Each guest was handed a special badge to help break the ice and talk to like-minded people. The badges had four pictures representing four different disciplines : hard hats, calculators, drawing pencils and ties.

There was a also a charity raffle for the Prince’s Trust where one lucky Phase Oner walked away with an iPod classic.
