Cranes hoist large red tarpaulins filled with snow from the decks of the Hudson Yards construction site in New York, on Monday.

Workers were clearing the multi-acre site after near-record snowfall hit the east coast of the US on Saturday in what some commentators have dubbed ‘Snowmageddon’.
