Jerram Falkus contractor on £6m deal

Work on a £6m scheme to revamp Wesley college in Cambridge has finally been completed by main contractor Jerram Falkus.

The scheme has been handed over in phases with the first students moving in last autumn.

Drawn up by local practice Cowper Griffith Architects, work on the buildings, which were designed in 1928 by Maurice Webb, has included adding a new library, administration and staff space as well refurbishing existing student housing. The work has been carried out to attract more graduate research students from overseas.

Project manager on the job was Sweett while the QS was Andrew Morton Associates. Structural engineer was Smith and Wallwork.
