Relive Tuesday night’s awards with pictures from the event
Leading construction companies and individuals claimed 19 prizes at the 2026 Building Awards last night.
More than 900 leading figures in the industry gathered at the Grosvenor House Hotel in central London to celebrate this year’s winners, at a ceremony hosted by comedian Jason Manford.
Major Contractor of the Year (over £500m) was won by Kier, while Ridge and Partners secured the title of Construction Consultant/Surveyor of the Year (over 100 staff).
Other winners included CPC Project Services, who claimed Building Magazine Project of the Year, for The Schwarzman Centre for Humanities, while Holcim and Thornton Tomasetti won the Net Zero Award for their Whale on the Wharf project.
Chief Executive of the Year was won by Paul Brown of Sisk and Stanhope was named the Construction Client of the Year.
In his acceptance speech, Brown said: “On a personal level, it’s a huge honour for me to achieve this, but I do this knowing that it’s actually a reflection of the business that I work for and the people that I’m fortunate to work with every single day at Sisk.
“Sisk has been building for over 165 years. We’re still family owned and today our people are delivering complex projects all over the UK, Ireland and all over Europe. They do it professionally, diligently and they do the best every single day. What makes me most proud is not simply the scale of what they deliver, but the way they deliver. They deliver with the right style, the right behaviours, right values.”
