PLP-designed scheme includes five star hotel and lucury resi

Lendlease has completed work on the 43-storey One Bishopsgate Plaza in the City of London.

The firm was construction manager on the £300m job for Singapore-based developer UOL with Stanhope acting as development manager.

Designed by PLP, the practice behind the 22 Bishopsgate tower further down the thoroughfare, the scheme is the first high-rise residential and hospitality to be built in the Square Mile.

It comprises a 237-bed five-star hotel in the lower half, operated by Singapore firm Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, with 160 flats.

Work also including refurbishing a series of listed, low-rise buildings nearby and creating new public space.

Others to work on the scheme include QS Alinea, façade consultant Eppag, heritage consultant Donald Insall Associates and MEP and structural engineer WSP.
