These are the first images of the completed Serpentine Pavilion, which opened last week in London’s Hyde Park.

The designers of the temporary building, which looks like a lop-sided spinning top, are Norwegian architect Kjetil Thorsen of Snøhetta and Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson. The 500m2 steel-framed, timber-clad structure was built by Bovis Lend Lease, with Arup as structural engineer, Stanhope as construction adviser, Consensus as project manager and Davis Langdon as cost consultant.
