Interserve has pushed its pipeline of work up to £1.9bn for this year and £1bn for 2013.

The support services giant said in a trading statement that it expects trading conditions this year to be “stable compared with 2011”.

The firm has won £600m worth of contracts so far this year.

Interserve added that its acquisition of training services firm BEST this month would increase its “delivery of front-line services”, particularly with the Department for Work and Pensions.

Chief Executive Adrian Ringrose said: “We’ve had a good start to the year and are trading well in mixed market conditions.

“Our attractive global breadth of end markets in outsourcing and infrastructure, together with our strong financial position, underpins our strategic development potential.”
