Morrison Construction has won a £4.6m contract to build this visitor centre at the Culloden battlefield in Scotland. The 2300 m² single-storey building will house an exhibition space, reception, shop and cafe.

Visitors will also have access to the building's roof, which will offer views of the famous battlefield. Gareth Hoskins Architects has designed the centre, which will be built using sustainably-sourced hardwood and Caithness stone. Work will start at the National Trust for Scotland site this summer.
