The Outstanding Safety Achievement gong was presented to Spanswick last night at the Building Health and Safety Awards.
John Spanswick received the Outstanding Safety Achievement award at Building's Health and Safety Awards on Thursday night, in recognition of his passionate campaigning to improve safety standards in the industry.
The event, which was attended by 800 people at London's Hilton Hotel on Park Lane and held in association with the Health and Safety Executive, also counted Skanska among its 16 winners, after it took the Best Major Contractor's Safety Initiative award.
David Wilson Homes won the Housebuilder's Safety Initiative category, while Astrazeneca Enginnering took the Best Safety Innovation from and Enginner category and the overall prize - Working Well Together Health and Safety Organisation of the Year.
