Graham Ardley arrived at firm in summer 2023
JRL has appointed a former ISG contracts director to be the new boss of its fit out business.
The firm said the move “marked a significant step in the group’s continued expansion” and the start of a push into a market that is enjoying a boom with a string of high-profile schemes across the sector continuing to be let.
Graham Ardley arrived at JRL in summer 2023 after more than 25 years at ISG, joining that business as a construction manager when the firm was then a listed company and known as Interior.

JRL’s fit out business operates across London and the regions in both the commercial and residential sectors.
Ardley said: “The ability to draw on such a wide breadth of in-house expertise is unlike anything I’ve experienced elsewhere in the industry. I’m excited to lead the fit out division and to help drive the next chapter of growth in the business.”
Earlier this year, JRL inked a deal with a Malaysian conglomerate that saw the latter take a 50% stake in the business set up by John Reddington nearly 30 years ago.
Listed on Bursa Malaysia, the country’s stock exchange, IJM Corporation was set up in 1983 and specialises in construction, property development, materials and infrastructure concessions.
JRL, whose group of 14 companies include main contractor Midgard, concrete frame business J Reddington and London Tower Crane Hire, is expected to release its 2024 accounts next month.
Meanwhile, Northern Ireland-based contractor Graham has also made a new move in fit out, appointing Sean McNiff as the new boss of its fit out division. Last month’s move sees him take charge of a £75m business with 100 staff. He joined Graham in 2019 and was most recently operations director.
