Shepway council in Kent has granted detailed planning permission to AukettFitzroyRobinson design for a £90m mixed-use urban quarter, to be built on 7 ha of the foreshore at Folkestone in Kent. The application, submitted on behalf of Trent Developments, is for 671 residential units, shops and leisure amenities. The project is part of a wider masterplan that incorporates a 150-bed hotel and a leisure centre containing a Multiplex cinema, bowling alley, bars and restaurants. Planning consultant is Littman Partnership, QS is Northcroft and transport consultant is Cottee Transport.
