Kier has won work to deliver a research facility for the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine on Tavistock Place in Bloomsbury, London.

The firm, which last month landed a £36m deal to turn two disused buildings into a new cardiac unit and outpatients department for St Bartholomew’s Hospital, will commence work on site at the end of 2018.

Kier expects the three-storey facility to be completed in 2020.

The 2,500m2 scheme, which also consists of one basement level, will be topped off with a biodiversity roof garden.

Kier announced Claudio Veritiero as its new chief operating officer at the start of this month.
