Laing Homes won three awards, including best private housebuilder, at the 2002 Building Homes Quality Awards last week. It also won the partnering prize and a category entitled Choices for the private sector.

The awards, which are in their second year, attracted twice as many entries as last year.

Comedian Tony Hawks was the host for the evening, being preceded on the stage by CABE chief executive Jon Rouse.
