Contractor wins deal for landmark project on new Imperial College campus

Laing O’Rourke has won a £76m deal to build a residential tower for Imperial College London’s new west London campus.

The 215,000 sq ft tower is the next major project in the university’s White City campus, and will provide will provide 192 new homes – including 59 earmarked for Imperial workers at below market rents.

The contract is the third Laing O’Rourke has won on the White City campus, with the contractor just a few months away from completing work on the Modular Science Research Hub and the Translation and Innovation Hub for the university.

Laing O’Rourke is expected to start work on-site on the tower this month, with the project due to be completed by 2019.
