Crown House and Explore will both see factory capacity increased
Laing O’Rourke has said it is expanding its manufacturing facilities for M&E business Crown House and its offsite arm Explore Manufacturing.
The firm said Crown House Technologies Manufacturing will be moving to larger premises in Smethwick, on the outskirts of Birmingham, while it was adding an extra 3,200sq m of space to its existing Explore site in Nottinghamshire.
O’Rourke said that a record order book of £17.2bn meant it was confident enough to grow its manufacturing bases for the businesses.

Laing O’Roukre Europe hub boss Peter Lyons said: “These new facilities will create a better environment for our people and ensure certainty for our clients into the future.”
Earlier this week, the firm said pre-tax profit stood at £80m in the year to March, up from £41.5m last time, on revenue down 7% to £4bn.
