US engineering and environmental consultant aims to broaden reach in region

American engineering and environmental consultant Langan as opened new offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The New Jersey-based firm's subsidiary company Langan International will oversee the push which the firm said had been done to broaden its reach in the region, where it is working on a number of jobs including high-rise schemes and infrastructure schemes.

Its Gulf operations will be headed by Langan senior principal George Leventis who said the decision to establish a permanent presence in the two emirates made practical sense. He added: “We can work around the clock to support the accelerated schedules of development common to the Middle East.”

Langan, which also has an office in central London, has appointed Khaldoun Fahoum to be its regional manager and the firm said he will also lead its projects in other areas of the Gulf including Saud Arabia and Qatar plus other areas of the globe including north Africa and India.
