Infrastructure specialist narrows pre-tax losses 

Infrastructure specialist M Group saw turnover jump by nearly a quarter to break the £3bn figure, the firm said in its latest annual report.

Revenue for the year to March 2026 was up 23% to £3.1bn with the company boasting an order book of £10.4bn, up from £8.8bn last time.

The firm, which is backed by private equity and employs 14,000 people, said pre-tax losses narrowed to £28m from £40m although it said it made an operating profit of £14.5m from a £14m loss last time.

M Group’s clients include Heathrow Airport

M Group works across several sectors including energy, water and transport with current jobs including schemes Hinkley Point C, Heathrow Airport and the National Grid where it is upgrading transmission lines and substations.

The firm said total liquidity, which it says includes cash and cash equivalents, was up to £453m from £322m.
