Contractor poaches senior figures from rival firms

McLaren has recruited four directors from rival firms to its senior management team.

The contractor, led by Phil Pringle and Kevin Taylor (pictured), has recruited two divisional directors, a business development director and an operational director

Graham Sturge has been appointed as a divisional director with responsibility for raising McLaren’s profile and market share in London. Sturge joins from Sisk, having spent six years as regional director overseeing operations in the capital.

David Horton has taken the role of divisional director responsible for directing and supporting the growth of McLaren’s Midlands’s presence from its Birmingham office.  Horton has 12 years’ experience with rival contractor Bowmer & Kirkland. 

McLaren has named Jon Hall as its new business development director, covering the North East, Yorkshire and the East Midlands, who has 30 years experience in the industry.

Richard Eager has been appointed as London operations director and will join the London divisional board. He was previously operations director for Laing O’Rourke and will take for pre and post contract delivery stage on a “portfolio of projects”.
