Ventilations solutions specialist Airflow has launched a two zone mechanical ventilation with heat recovery unit called Duplexvent RK2.
The product provides simultaneous heating and heat recovery in living spaces and secondary extraction from moisture-laden rooms, including kitchens and bathrooms.
The company says the unit is designed for low-energy houses including Passivhaus dwellings and features a 93% heat recovery rate.
It incorporates circulation and radial fans, heat recovery unit with bypass dampers, filter and a hot water heater.
A low-temperature water heater module is also included to supplement a hot water system. The unit also includes an outside temperature sensor that automatically adjusts the speed of the fan, which can provide airflow rates up to 550m3/hr.
