When a water trap seal fails in a building’s drainage network sewer gas, containing harmful pathogens, can enter a building and spread infection. The failure can be caused by water in a trap being displaced by air pressure surges generated by flushing toilets or it can evaporate if an appliance has remained unused for a while. Dyteqta-System monitors a building’s drainage network to detect any loss of water trap seals using sonar technology.
