More residents have come forward to complain about noise transmission problems at London’s Greenwich Millennium Village. The development follows an a Building investigation in May, which revealed problems with some apartments in the scheme.

Jay Sahota, a lawyer, said he was withholding his service charge because the noise was “absolutely unbearable”. He lives at Farnsworth Court – a separate part of the village to Kilby Court, where the original complainants live.

Meanwhile, residents at a second block in Kilby Court have complained about noise problems and have said they were considering forming an action group.

Developer Greenwich Millennium Village said it had received one complaint about noise in Farnsworth Court. It said the block should have good sound performance because it was built from concrete and the floor rested on sound-insulating rubber pads.

It added that it would investigate the complaint.
