Morgan Sindall's infrastructure services division will service Central England electrical distribution system.

Morgan Sindall has picked up a £105m, four-year contract with E.ON UK's distribution arm, Central Networks, to service over 5,000 sq miles of electrical distribution system across central England.

Morgan Est, the firm's infrastructure services division, is due to complete the project in December 2009, when there could be an opportunity to extend the contract forward for a further five years.

News of the deal follows the award of a £28.5 million contract last year for Morgan Est to lay cables, build new substations, connect new services and carry out associated asset replacement work in central England.

Morgan Sindall chief executive Paul Smith said: "Morgan Est's utilities business has developed a great track record for service and delivery with E.ON UK and we look forward to continuing and developing that relationship further."
