Consultant snaps up water specialist Leed Engineering & Construction
Mott MacDonald is set to acquire Australian contractor Leed Engineering & Construction as part of a plan to strengthen its business in the country.
Leed is a privately owned civils contractor specialising in water infrastructure. Founded in 2001, it employs over 350 people across offices in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.

The company’s workforce, including managing director Craig Laslett, will continue to operate with its existing management team and structure.
It will become part of Mott’s JN Bentley water and engineering business.
Adrian Jones, Mott MacDonald’s regional managing director for Asia Pacific, New Zealand and Australia, said the deal would “provide a fully integrated design and construction offering to our clients in this space”.
