Sheet products maker Norbord has switched from using road transport to canals to transport logs to its factory in Scotland.

The company makes a variety of products including Sterling OSB, a moisture-resistant orientated strand board which is suitable for roofing. The company said it moves 20,000 to 30,000 tonnes of logs along the Great Glen instead of using the A82 trunk road.
