London-based architect Hudson Featherstone has completed this £700,000 private house in Northaw, Hertfordshire.
Called the Drop House, it is sculpted from elements including an inclined stair wall acting as a light scoop and a suspended droplet-shaped structure containing two bathrooms and a laundry room. Structural engineer is Techniker, services engineer is Mendick Waring and quantity surveyor is Dobson White Boulcott.
