Consulting engineer Whitbybird is providing structural engineering services on the HLM's Ellsmere nursing home in London.
The £20m project is set around a landscaped courtyard, and makes use of retaining walls from a Victorian nursing home previously on the site. Whitbybird has recently won the Queen's Award for innovation, an award conventionally given to products, for its approach to engineering. It has also been named in The Sunday Times' top 100 UK companies to work for.
